Vax Deadline is 10 Days Away: Two Steps for Students to Take to Ensure Access to In-person Learning & Services

Students attending in-person classes, working on campus, living in the residence halls, or participating in on-campus activities or services must provide verification of a COVID-19 vaccination by September 27, 2021.

Don't wait! Students who do not verify that they are vaccinated or who do not receive an approved official exemption by September 27 will be administratively withdrawn from all in-person classes, will not receive a refund of tuition or fees, and will receive a “W” for each course. This may affect financial aid eligibility.

If you know a student who has yet to verify their COVID-19 vaccination, please encourage them to take these two important steps in order to be incompliance with the SUNY mandate:

  1. Get vaccinated at the Brighton Campus between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21 (make an appointment online) or the Downtown Campus between 2:00 and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, September 20-23, or between 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 24. The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, free and available throughout our community. Walk-ins are welcomed!
  2. Verify vaccination by September 27. Upload a scan of their vaccination card reflecting they have received one or two shots to the Student Health Services Portal. Students who receive their first shot next week will be eligible for a temporary medical accommodation and will receive more time to complete a two-shot series.

More details are available on our website.
