SSTF Workshop on Trauma & Resilience- Friday, November 6

As part of our Strong Start to Finish grant, faculty and staff are invited to attend a workshop on Trauma & Resilience on Friday, November 6 from 10am - 2:30pm

Presented by Jeanie Tietjen and Meredith Watts from MassBay Community College's Institute for Trauma, Adversity, and Resilience in Higher Education

  • This workshop will share how trauma and adversity impacts students (particularly within the context of developmental English and math courses) and help faculty to identify strategies to support students given these challenging times. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to participate in facilitated discussions that will allow them to share out and discuss their own experiences, challenges, and successes with their peers.

I would encourage faculty and staff, including tutors, who work with our at-risk students to participate.
