Model UN Deadline is Coming Up


Time is running out ….Get in on Model UN

Students, if you have not done so, pick up your Model United Nations brochure and attend one of our final information sessions.  You don’t want to lose out on this great opportunity.

Faculty and staff, if you know of students who may benefit from this program, please encourage them to attend one of the following informational sessions about this award winning program

Informational sessions will be held on:

*       Thursday         October 13, 2016                    12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

*       Thursday         October 13, 2016                    3:30 p.m. to   4:30 p.m.

*       Friday              October 14, 2016                    3:30 p.m. to   4:30 p.m.

*       Monday          October 17, 2016                    3:30 p.m. to   4:30 p.m.

All sessions are being held in the PRISM Multicultural Center (Brighton Campus Spina Administration Building 1, Room 108 ).

This award-winning program has consistently been one of the hallmark programs on campus. MCC is one of the premier colleges that have balanced the perfect blend of curricular and co-curricular learning, providing students with a true rewarding experience.

Faculty, please encourage your students to apply, especially if you know an exceptional student who has great leadership potential. Students are asked to consider the following benefits of participating:

* Model UN is an intense program that can change students' lives
* Students will earn 4 credit hours (satisfying a Political Science, Social Science or General Elective credit)
* Students will gain “Honors Credit” after completing the program, but you don’t necessarily have to be an honors student

* Students will attend the largest international collegiate conference in the North East with over 5,000 students from all over the world

* Students will stay in New York City in April for one week and attend the real United Nations to debate and negotiate real world issues.
