Several members of the MCC women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse teams participated in a “Day Out With Santa” on Sunday, Dec. 18 at the Holiday Inn and Suites on Jefferson Road. The event, sponsored by Visions Hotels, gave children an opportunity to meet and have a picture taken with Santa. There were also free pony rides, face painting, muffins and hot chocolate, and children got to meet various TV characters. The MCC women’s basketball players dressed up as the characters, which included Mickey Mouse, SpongeBob, Elmo, Goofy, and others.
More than 2,000 people attended the event.
