Carol Dayes Selected for United Way African American Leadership Development Program

Carol Dayes, clerk in the Financial Aid Office, has been selected for the African American Leadership Development Program (AALDP) sponsored by the United Way of Rochester.  This program is a unique educational forum that identifies, trains, and promotes the placement of African Americans in policy-making positions in community organizations in the Greater Rochester area.

Upon completion of AALDP, participants use the development strategies they have acquired to positively strengthen the workforce in the Rochester area.  Carol is focusing her work in empowering disenfranchised youth to learn how to access educational resources, obtain a GED, and/or enroll into college.  Carol believes that an education and hard work is the foundation for any success in life.  Please wish her much success in this leadership opportunity.
