MCC's Innovative Workforce Development Efforts Highlighted in TV Segment

Dr. Todd Oldham, vice president of economic and workforce development and career technical education, and Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo were guests on the Why ROC TV program on July 10 to talk about the national accolade MCC and the county recently received for best practices in workforce development. Why ROC is produced by Greater Rochester Enterprise in partnership with WROC-TV to promote positive business news taking place in the local community.

MCC's innovative and impactful efforts in workforce development are identified as exemplary in The Aspen Institute's new report, The Workforce Playbook, a Community College Guide to Delivering Excellent Career and Technical Education. MCC is one of just six U.S. community colleges cited as national models for best practices in workforce development.

The TV segment highlighted MCC's partnerships with K-12/higher education and regional employers in building the worker pipeline. It also promoted LadderzUP, a Monroe County workforce development program powered by MCC.
