WYSL's Interview with Dr. Oldham Available as Podcast

Vice President Todd Oldham and Ken Court from Advanced Atomization Technologies, which employs many MCC graduates, were guests on the "Wall Street to Main Street" radio program on Friday, Jan, 22.

If you missed the live broadcast of WYSL's interview or simply want to revisit it in whole or in part, you'll find the audio recording at:

Tom Hamilton, host of the weekly radio program, talked with Dr. Oldham about current and future job growth areas in our region, MCC's new partnership with Amazon Web Services to offer a cloud practitioner course, area employers' support of apprenticeships, and MCC's two web-based career exploration tools -- Career Coach and Skills Match.

When asked about finding qualified workers for his company, Ken Court said:

-- "One thing that we've been very fortunate to do is our partnerships with MCC and RIT. We've developed very strong relationships with them to get some of our skilled labor force."

-- "I highly recommend that anybody applying to our company come through one of the technical programs at MCC or RIT. They're both fantastic programs, and they really give those folks an edge over others that haven't come through those types of programs."

The program host also acknowledged MCC as a community asset. In his closing remarks, Mr. Hamilton said:

"What we really need is places, like MCC, training and educating young people to enter the job force with skills and companies like Advanced Atomization Technologies in Clyde who bring those young people or older people in and give them an opportunity to do a great job and advance at the company starting at decent wages and moving up to higher wages."

Many thanks to Kristin Sine-Kinz and Carly Rooney for their assistance in identifying an employer for the media opportunity.
