Coffey Recognized by the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning

The Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning (CPLP) recognized Jim Coffey, Professor, Visual and Performing Arts Department at their annual meeting June 16th. The award recognized “…his significant contribution to the CPLP and for his effort to  make our community’s children safe from lead paint poisoning.” Coffey produced a 50-minute educational video with the 292-BABY network that covers all aspects of lead poisoning. The video, hosted by Joseph Hill and entitled, “Introduction to Lead Poisoning” is shown on 292-BABY television and is available “on-demand” at:

“There were a number of community leaders in the audience and so it was a wonderful opportunity for me to publicly thank my colleagues and the MCC administration for their support in reaching out to serve Greater Rochester’s early childhood community.” Coffey said. “I welcome any opportunity to show the many unique ways this institution delivers information and education to our community.”
