Global Union Fashion Show, Food, and Indonesian Movement Arts Today!

Stop by the Atrium in Building 3 between 11:30 - 1:30 pm today for a Global Fashion Show, international food buffet, and an Indonesian Movement Arts demonstration.

Guest lecturers from Cornell will be participating in the fashion show and teaching Indonesian Movement Arts.

Ryan Cipta Julianda is a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) at Cornell University. He has been teaching languages for almost 8 years in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. In 2015, he graduated from Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan PGRI Pontianak (IKIP-PGRI Pontianak) with Bachelor of English Education. In 2019, he was awarded a short course scholarship and gained his Level 5 Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (CertTESOL) from Trinity College London. He participates in the FLTA program because he wants to challenge himself and refine his teaching ability out of his comfort zone in Pontianak. He is thrilled to share his culture with US students, especially through the martial arts of “Pencak Silat”.

Raisa Nabila Junaidi is a Master's student at Cornell University, majoring in Human Resources. She was born and raised in Pontianak, the capital of the Indonesian province of West Kalimantan. She went to Jakarta to study Business at Prasetiya Mulya Business School and worked for 6 years as an HR practitioner and consultant for multiple technology startups. She loves both traditional games and video games and still plays RPGs from time to time. She is excited to share the Indonesian version of hopscotch, called Tabak.
