TCC: Tomorrow! Leading Effective and Impactful Meetings Workshop #3 - Fostering Deep Listening

Join us for the third workshop in our four-part series Leading Effective and Impactful Meetings on Thursday, May 5 from 12:30  – 1:30 pm. We will meet in 2-423 in the Brighton Campus Library. 

In the Fostering Deep Listening workshop, participants will examine typical pitfalls of listening and exercise alternative deep listening skills. We will share reflective practice techniques to increase listening opportunities during meetings. To close, participants will reflect on how to use what they learned in preparing and facilitating their own meetings.

The Teaching and Creativity Center is pleased to introduce a new four-part series: Leading Effective and Impactful Meetings. Drawing on the experiences of many of our Reflective Practice Group coaches, we have designed bite-sized interactive workshops to help support your leadership while planning and facilitating meetings. You are welcome to come to any or all of these workshops, they are designed to stand-alone and complement each other: 

  • Building community April 6, 12:00-12:50 

  • Developing effective agendas April 12, 12:30 –1:20 

  • Fostering deep listening May 5, 12:30-1:20 

  • Structuring productive conversations during PD Week TBA
