On Saturday, March 3, MCC FA Faculty members, Bethany Gizzi, Jeffrey Baker, Patricia Drumright, Bill Drumright, Ellen Mancuso, Joan Moorehead, Eileen Morris, Mark Sample, Louis Silvers and Kara Tierney attended the Monroe County Federation of Teachers Legislative Breakfast to discuss education funding in New York State. On Tuesday, March 6, FA members, Mark Sample, Louis Silvers and Ellen Mancuso traveled to Albany, meeting with nine legislators to lobby on behalf of community colleges. There are 19 days until the New York State Budget is due. This year the anticipated base aid is $2,122 which is 3 DOLLARS less than the base aid in 1999-2000.
