Pathways to College Spring 2022

Thanks to a generous grant from ESL Federal Credit Union, 97 non-grads (students without a high school diploma) enrolled in MCC classes this spring.  88 of the 97 are matriculated students, while 9 are enrolled in the non-credit program Strong Foundations.  Students in Pathways to College receive a scholarship that covers their tuition, fees, and books while they earn their NYS High School Equivalency diploma through college credit.

Pathways to College students range in age from 17 to 65.  Some are fresh out of high school, where the impact of the pandemic created barriers to their success, while others have children, jobs, and many other obligations—that is, they’re just like other MCC students, with the added goal of completing high school credentials.

How do you find out if one of your students is part of Pathways to College? You can check their Success Network in Starfish to see if Jessica Saltzberg is part of it, or you can check for a note about the program in Degree Works.
