Brenda Babitz, president, MCC Foundation, was a guest on the League for Innvoation in the Community College's new League Radio program. League Radio is a web-based talk show featuring pertinent interviews and discussions on topics important to community college educators. The program is made possible through a partnership with iStream, an online subscription service that streams video, radio, print, and other interactive resources.
League President and CEO Mark Milliron interviewed Babitz and Dr. Ann McGee, president of Seminole Community College, about "The Rise of Fundraising in the Community College." The interview covered a range of topics, including why should community colleges be involved in fundraising, what kinds of giving options work best, and the important roles of CEOs, Boards, and all college employees. In addition, several compelling fundraising stories help illustrate the essentials of reaching out to individuals and corporations to better support our institutions.
