Avalone Serves on Middle States Commission of Higher Education (MSCHE) Self Study Team

Valarie Avalone, Director, Institutional Planning, Effectiveness and Accountability recently served on a Self-Study and Virtual Site Visit for a community college in Pennsylvania. Temporary flexibility provided by the United States Department of Education to address coronavirus (COVID-19) impacted institutions and accrediting agencies allowed for virtual rather than onsite visits to take place. Prior to the visit, evaluators participated in additional training for a virtual visit.  Valarie’s long-time service to MSCHE as an invited presenter, evaluator for self-studies and periodic reviews, and as a past Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) has allowed her to keep abreast of accreditation issues and bring that knowledge back to MCC.
