MFA Rollout Complete

The planned rollout of Mult-Factor Authentication for MCC systems is complete!

As new systems are implemented, they will be set up with MFA from the start.

Thank you to the many colleagues who contributed to the successful planning and deployment of this critical cyber security control, including Drew Mead, Andy Latta, Pete Zarcone and Amy Ariola..

In particular, I would like to thank Jeff Savage, whose technical investigation and planning ensured a smooth rollout, and who bore most of the work to test and activate MFA for all the numerous systems.

Many thanks to Ann Penwarden for her diligence in keeping the documentation updated as new questions and information came in, and for manning the open Zoom rooms, along with Scott Broberg.

The Technology Support teams bore the brunt of the day to day help requests. We appreciate the partnership and support provided by Andy Eggleston and his team at the Student Help Desk.

The calls coming into the Employee Technology Support team were often non-stop over these past weeks. The team extended the open hours of the help desk, and their hard work and patience was instrumental in getting Faculty and Staff up and running.  A big THANK YOU to Christine Gallion, Rob Fraser and Scott Brandt, as well as to Sean Flesch who jumped in to help during peak times.

Finally, thanks to all MCC colleagues for your patience and support as we strengthen our defenses to protect the college's information and systems from cyber attack.
