The "What Happened to the Class of 2020?" Report is Now Available

The “What Happened to the Class of 2020?” brochure is now available electronically at https://www.monroecc.edu/depts/research/what-happened-to-the-class-of/.  The brochure will not be available as a hard copy, and the book will not be available as a hard copy or electronically this year.  However, faculty and staff who need specific data on graduates’ outcomes can request them from IR.

Some of the highlights from the report include:

  • 1,098 (57 percent) of the graduates had been in transfer (A.A. and A.S. degree) programs.
  • 527 (28 percent) of the graduates had been in career (A.A.S. degree) programs.
  • 293 (15 percent) of the graduates had been in certificate programs.
  • We have outcome data on 59 percent of the graduates.  It came from the Graduate Follow-Up Survey, National Student Clearinghouse, and various MCC departments.  The data shows that…
    • 58 percent of graduates are either employed or continuing their education.
    • Graduates were hired by 190 different employers.
    • Graduates transferred to 108 different colleges and universities.
    • Of the career and certificate program graduates who secured full-time employment, 85 percent are in jobs related to their major and 93 percent are employed locally.
    • SUNY Brockport continues to be the #1 receiving campus, with 213 of our graduates transferring there.  RIT was second with 94.
