Move Over J. K. Rowling and John Irving!

While fans anxiously await the July releases of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and "Until I Find You," MCC's own Deborah Benjamin is getting raves from the critics for her book, "The (Records) World According to Deborah Benjamin!"

“With wisdom and wit, Benjamin spins the ordinary and mundane into hilarious prose.  She makes us laugh out loud!  This is the REAL Deborah Benjamin.”   --Professor Cathryn Smith

"She’s comical, she’s compelling and she writes like a woman on fire. Part jester and part judicious administrator, Benjamin has done something extraordinary in getting people to give a hoot about the ho-hum of rules."      --Janet Ekis, college relations specialist

“The minute I meet someone for the first time at the college and they realize I work in Registration & Records --- they immediately ask if I know Deborah Benjamin.  Is she as funny in person as she is in her writing?  What does she look like?  Yes, I know Deborah.  She is MUCH funnier in person.  She is beautiful.  Who could imagine that managing records could be so much fun!” --Betsy Ripton, Registrar

“Deborah Benjamin is a stripper in a librarian's body.” --Anonymous

Deborah's book will become available the week of July 18th. For copies, please <mailto:emalin@monroecc.edu>
