Clarke Discusses Concurrent Enrollment at AFT-NEA Conference

President of the Monroe Community College Faculty Association Charlie Clarke, Psychology, participated in a panel that discussed Concurrent Enrollment: Pros and Cons at the American Federation of Teachers-National Education Association Higher Education Summit, on March 4 in Orlando, Fla. The summit provided a forum for educators to share successes, challenges and strategies.

The panel discussion explored programs that facilitate high school students receiving college credit and high school credit simultaneously for coursework and how the popularity of these programs has grown significantly. Panelists also discussed the unions’ response to particular programs in two states.
