Walk For Wellness

Karla Baxter in Health and Physical Education Dept is forming a team of walkers to participate in Gilda’s Club of Rochester’s Annual Walk For Wellness. Karla decided to form a team in honor of her mother who died in 2004 of breast cancer.

Students, faculty and staff of the Health Information Technology Program are also participating in the walk. They are walking in honor of a former student who is presently dealing with cancer in her family.

The core mission of Gilda’s Club and Cancer Action is to provide meeting places where men, women and children living with cancer along with their families and friends, join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care.
