Senate Feedback on March 2022 Proposed Reorganization

On March 11, 2022, the Senate Special Committee on Administrative Affairs (SCAA) received a reorganization proposal on behalf of Dr. Burt-Nanna. According to Senate bylaws and resolutions, SCAA gathers feedback and makes recommendations to the president and respective administrators proposing reorganizations and changes in positions director and above.

  • 3/14/2022: Meeting with Dr. Burt-Nanna, Kristin Lowe, Dr. Pares-Kane, and Becky Babcock to review the proposal.
  • 3/15/2022: Addendum to the proposal provided to SCAA.
  • 3/16/2022: Reorganization proposal shared in the MCC Daily Tribune and open forum announced to gather feedback on the proposal.
  • 3/25/2022: First open forum was held.
  • 3/31/2022: Second open forum was held and SCAA sent in the remaining questions for written answers.
  • 4/7/2022: SCAA received a response to the remaining questions and posted it in the MCC Daily Tribune the next day.
  • 4/14/2022: Reorganization response shared with Dr. Burt-Nanna and cabinet members.

SCAA began to collect feedback as soon as the proposal was posted. The final report was reviewed by the Senate Executive Committee (EC) before submission to the administration. Due to the timing of spring break, we delayed posting the response until the administration had a chance to review it and the break was over.
