Deadline Approaching: Nominations for Outstanding WAC Faculty Award

You've been meaning to, right?

Well, there is still time to nominate a colleague (or yourself) for the WAC Outstanding Faculty Member Award! The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 26, 2019. Full-time, part-time, and adjunct teaching faculty are eligible.

The winner will receive a framed certificate and a plaque on Employee Recognition Day.

The nomination packet should include the following materials:

  1. A short letter of recommendation (One may nominate oneself for the award but must still produce a letter of recommendation.)
  2. A copy of the nominee's writing assignment(s) and CIS showing the WR emphasis
  3. A brief statement from the nominee explaining why and how student writing is important to his or her teaching.

Please help us shine a light on someone who does the often-unacknowledged work of ensuring that students keep writing in their classes long after they have finished ENG 101.
