Help MCC receive a $30,000 grant - vote online today

This is not a joke, although it might seem like one.   John Gmitter, the son of Rosemary Selvaggio in Building Services and the step-son of Diane Cheasty in Hospitality, has been nominated for the 2007 Test Engineer of the Year, one of only 6 people nationally.  It is an online voting process.  The nominee with the most votes will be the winner.  In addition to receiving a plaque, the winner will designate an engineering school to receive a $30,000 educational grant courtesy of the contest sponsors, National Instruments, Agilent Technologies, and Keithley Instruments.  John got his educational start in our ELT program in 1990.  Although he graduated from MCC in Liberal Arts in 1992 and went on to SUNY Utica to earn his Bachelor’s degree, John has decided that if he wins, he will designate MCC’s Engineering Technologies Program to be the recipient of this $30,000 grant.  Check out this link:

Hopefully everyone (MCC faculty, staff, current students, alumni, as well as the community) will take the time to vote so that John will be the winner of the award and MCC will be the benefactor of $30,000.  Pass this on to anyone you know and be sure to vote yourself!!!
