MCC Faculty Attend Internationalization Meeting in Washington, D.C.

The ACE Internationalization Steering Committee Co-chairs, Associate Professor Nayda Pares-Kane and Assistant Professor Angelique Stevens attended the ACE Internationalization Laboratory meeting held in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.

The ACE Internationalization Laboratory is an invitational learning community that assists participating institutions to develop a capacity, capability, and strategy for comprehensive internationalization, which is infusing an international/intercultural dimension to all aspects of teaching, learning, research, service, and outreach.

The meeting with Dr. Barbara Hill, ACE liaison, was the third and final gathering of the leadership teams from the 2011-2012 cohort colleges.  The meeting focused on each institution’s progress toward the development of a strategic action plan based on the 18 month review and analysis of current on campus activities.

The 2011-2012 cohorts include:

Fielding Graduate University (CA)
Georgia Gwinnett College
Monroe Community College (NY)
Montana State University
Universidad Metropolitana (PR)
University of Wisconsin–River Falls
University of Wyoming
Webster University (MO)
