Peer Mentors Present Anti-Violence Workshop


On Wednesday, April 12, 2006, the Peer Mentors, in conjunction with S.A.V.I.O.R.S. (Students Against Violence in Our Rochester Streets) will present, “Kids Killing Kids: Why Here, Why Now?” to address the proliferation of violence in our city streets.  This event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Forum, Bldg. 3, Rm. 130.

Participating in this panel will include Nina Becoats, a mother who has lost a child to violence; William Gargan, Representative Monroe County District Attorney’s Office; David Moore, Police Chief, Rochester Police Department; Brett Pusheck, Assistant US Attorney; Moses Robinson, Rochester Police Department East Coast specialist on gangs and gang-related activities, Rochester Police Department; and Victor Saunders, Director, Pathways to Peace.

We invite all faculty, staff and students who are interested to attend this panel discussion.
