MCC is proud to have the 5th Anniversary Multiple Sclerosis Team walk on Sunday May 3rd, 2009 that is sponsored by the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC). It’s not too late to join our team of 115 people so far. We have raised over $2,500 with the silent auction, candy bar sales, shoe sales, and fundraiser dinners at Unos Grill. With walker pledges we hope to reach our goal of $5,000.

We will meet at the Roundhouse Pavilion at the Genesee Valley Park on Sunday. Registration opens at 9:00am (this is new) and our team photo will be at 9:45am and the walk starts at 10am. Please arrive as close to 9am as you can to ensure that you can turn in your pledges and be in the team photo.
The two route lengths this year are either 3 or 5.5 miles. You can walk at your own pace on either route. Directions to the walk are as follows: Directions and Parking Information:
Take Route #390 north to 15A North (East Henrietta Road), turn right, stay to the left and it turns into Mt. Hope Ave. Turn Left on to Elmwood Ave. and follow past Strong Memorial Hospital (on Left), go under bridge. Parking will be on the University of Rochester Campus. Turn right on to Wilson Blvd., then turn right onto Trustee Road, take your next right onto Intercampus Drive, Go over the bridge and park in Park Lot. Volunteers will instruct you from there on how to get to the Roundhouse Shelter and the check-in area. Buses will be available to take participants from Park Lot to the Roundhouse Shelter.
