Rebecca Mack receives NYSTAA Distinguished Service Award

The New York State Transfer and Articulation Association (NYSTAA) each year recognizes one member for outstanding service to the organization.  This year, Rebecca Mack from the MCC Career Center was recognized by NYSTAA as the recipient of their Distinguished Service award for her significant and lasting contributions to the organization and advocacy for transfer issues.  She has been the chair of the Newsletter Committee and an active member of the Issues Committee.

Since fall 2006, Rebecca has produced NYSTAA’s biannual newsletter and has been responsible for all aspects of this print publication.  Recently, with the assistance of Christian Kull, Rebecca transformed the newsletter from print to an online version. The new design of the newsletter reflects a great deal of time, energy, and dedication to transfers and NYSTAA.

In presenting this award, the President of NYSTAA commended Rebecca on helping to shape the direction of NYSTAA and making sure that direction was reported clearly and regularly to the membership. He also stated,  “Rebecca is a steady, bright light in our organization, and her presence, participation, and leadership deserve to be recognized.”

Congratulations on this well deserved award!
