Inform Your Students: Sources of Information for Federal Financial Aid


For information on any federal student financial aid programs, students may call the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) at

·        1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243) - toll free, or

·        1-800-730-8913 (TTY) - toll free for the hearing impaired.

The Federal Student Aid Information Center provides the following services:

1.    Helps students complete a FAFSA or make corrections to a processed FAFSA on the Web

2.    Answers questions about the Federal Student Aid PIN

3.    Checks the processing status of the FAFSA

4.    Mails duplicate Student Aid Reports (SARs)

5.    Changes student’s mailing address and e-mail address

6.    Changes the school’s student listed on your application

7.    Explains the SAR and how to make corrections

8.    Explains who is eligible for federal student aid

9.    Explains how federal student aid is awarded and paid

10. Explains the verification process

11. Sends requested publications.
