Stuckless, Rollins named Athletes of the Week


MCC baseball player Mark Stuckless (Ottawa, Ont./A.Y. Jackson) and softball player Samantha Rollins (Hornell, NY/Hornell) were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.

Stuckless batted .529 as the Tribunes went 3-1 last week.  The sophomore outfielder also added six runs and three RBIs.  For the year Stuckless is batting .457 and is currently on a 17-game hitting streak.

Rollins, a freshman shortstop, batted .615 as top-ranked Monroe swept two Western New York Athletic Conference doubleheaders last week. Rollins went 5-for-6 with a home run, two doubles, four runs scored, and four RBIs in the wins over Jamestown. She then added three hits, three runs scored, and six RBIs in a sweep of Erie CC. For the season, Rollins leads NJCAA Division III with 43 RBIs.
