Peter Francione Is New Instructor with the Law and Criminal Justice Department

There was a slight error in the introduction of one of our new employees at All College Day, Peter Francione. Peter is an Instructor with the Law and Criminal Justice Department, not Upward Bound as indicated.

Mr. Francione has an M.A. in History from Old Dominion University, a B.A. in History/Political Science from St. John Fisher College, and an A.S. in Liberal Arts from Monroe Community College and he was hired to help create a new set of courses for the Law and Criminal Justice Department which focus on the role of private security.  This is a brand new field of study MCC is developing, and there are only a few institutions throughout the United States that currently offer this program.  He is also working to create the parameters of a private security certificate program which will be offered to students in the near future.  To date, Peter has created two courses to be offered at MCC in the 2014-2015 academic year: CRJ-102 Introduction to Private Security and CRJ-202 Private Security Investigations.

Previous to being hired by MCC, Mr. Francione worked in the Asset Protection Department for Wegmans Food Markets.  For the past five years he has been in charge of handling all security related operations for the Pittsford store.
