Please welcome Gale Lynch to the new position of director, Global Education and International Services (GEIS) effective September 1, 2014. Gale comes to MCC from Roberts Wesleyan College, where she served as the global education coordinator and assistant professor of communication. In her new position, Gale will report to the interim Dean of Curriculum and Program Development and together they will work to advance global learning outcomes for all students.
At Roberts Wesleyan College, Gale chaired the Global Education Committee, managed relationships with study abroad partners, developed new international partnerships, and managed sister college relationships with partners in Japan and Korea. She was responsible for establishing connections between all campus stakeholders to build the Office of Global Education into a multi-dimensional office responsible for international student services, study abroad, the English Language Institute, and the advancement of campus internationalization.
Gale will work collaboratively with the Assistant Director of GEIS Audra Dion, the GEIS Advisory Council, and offices across all divisions to develop policies, programs, and integrated services to further global competencies in all areas of the College. The new Global Education and International Services office is located in the Career and Transfer Center, on the first floor of the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center.
