2022 Employee Benefits Open Enrollment - November 3rd - 21st

The College’s Open Enrollment period to make your benefit elections for 2023 begins today. 

What’s New for 2023? On October 21st, MCC announced in the Daily Tribune that it will be moving to a self-funded health insurance plan beginning January 1, 2023.  An FAQ regarding self-funded healthcare and recordings of the MCC Self-Funded Healthcare meetings held are available under the Human Resources’ Benefits tile.

Open Enrollment Period:  November 3rd through November 21st  
                                             Deadline for all forms is November 21, 2022

If you do not have the capability to print or complete an enrollment form electronically, please contact Human Resources at (585) 292-2048 or via email at hr@monroecc.edu to request a form.

What do you need to do?

Medical - Excellus: 

  • There are no coverage changes to the College’s Standard, Enhanced and PPO medical plans
  • We encourage you to review the 2023 rates and medical comparison grid
  • New Wegmans Pharmacy benefit to lower co-pays –information found in the Employee Benefits Guides

Do not wish to make a change in your current coverage - you do not need to do anything. Your current coverage will roll into 2023. Wish to make a change - complete the Excellus enrollment form and submit the completed paper form to the Human Resources Office by November 21st.

Dental – Excellus: 

  • There are no changes to the current dental plans; your current coverage will automatically roll into 2023
  • If you are not enrolled or wish to add an eligible dependent, complete the Excellus enrollment form and submit the completed paper form to the Human Resources Office by November 21st.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Benefit Resource: 

  • Action is necessary if you wish to have a flexible spending account (FSA) for 2023.  Your 2022 FSA election will not automatically roll into the next year; you must make your election each year.   
  • How to make your 2023 FSA election? - You must use the BRi online enrollment link (see How to Elect Your 2023 FSA flyer found on MCC’s Benefits Information Hub); no paper enrollments will be accepted. 
    Note:
    when you have successfully completed your 2023 election, you will receive a confirmation email from BRi.

Long-Term Disability & Life – Lincoln

  • There are no Open Enrollment options being offered this year. 
  • No action is necessary.

Voluntary Retirement Savings (403b and/or NYS Deferred Compensation 457) elections:

  • New Limits - The 2023 contribution limits have increased up to $22,500 per year. If you are age 50 or older anytime in 2023, you can contribute an additional $7,500, for a maximum of $30,000.
  • There is no action necessary during Open Enrollment for your 2023 election.  Payroll deductions can be changed throughout the calendar year.  There are no paper forms to manage your payroll deduction.  If you wish to make any change to your payroll deduction, information and instructions can be found in your Employee Benefits Guide located on the Benefits Information Hub. Your current payroll deduction will roll into 2023.
