Newspaper Covers "Complete to Compete" Event


Alysa Stryker, reporter for the Messenger Post, interviewed MCC student Jonathan Roman for her article about a student-led, campus-wide effort encouraging fellow students to commit to complete their education and help raise the graduation rate.

Part of the Monday event involved calling on fellow students to sign a completion pledge. Student organizations that helped organize the signing event were Phi Theta Kappa-Alpha Theta Iota chapter, Student Government Association, Spanish Club, WMCC the Fuse, and Monroe Doctrine.

Keynote speaker was Carlos Medina, associate provost and associate vice chancellor for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the State University of New York.
