Advising Tip: Using Starfish to track spring registration

There is an advising tool available in Starfish that can track how many of your advisees have registered. The “Not Yet Registered for Next Semester” cohort in Starfish allows advisors to easily filter for students on their caseload who have yet to schedule their spring classes. This cohort filter can be found on the My Students page in Starfish, follow these steps.

  1. Change “Connection” to FACULTY ADVISOR
  2. “Term” should be set to Active
  3. Change “Cohort” to Not Yet Registered For Next Semester

Advisors can use this filter to help them target advisees who may need more reminders or support regarding their spring semester plans.
