The MCC Writing Center is pleased to offer a $150 cash prize to the winner of the Alan B. Shaw Memorial Essay Award. The essay topic is “The Art of Companionship: How an Animal Changed My Life.” All currently enrolled MCC students are eligible to enter. The contest deadline is Friday, April 12, 2013. Students may submit their essays to the Writing Center in 11-208 on the Brighton Campus, or to the TRS Mastery Lab in 4-262 at the Damon City Campus.
