3rd annual White Coat Ceremony

President Flynn and RIT Provost Stanley McKenzie will present eight Rochester-area students with their white coats, symbolizing the start of their educational careers in biomedicine, at the 3rd annual Rochester Biomedical Experience "White Coat" Ceremony tomorrow, June 26 at 4:30 pm in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center.

The Rochester Biomedical Experience is a partnership between MCC and RIT and is made possible by a $624,386 grant from the National Institutes of Health. The program encourages minority students to pursue careers in biomedicine -- an important effort that will impact the future of health care in our community. The program is led by Associate Professor of Biology Paul Wakem, Ph.D.

Please join Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks and others as we welcome this cohort and congratulate members of the first cohort who will be transferring to four-year colleges this fall. The ceremony will begin with a reception at 4:30 pm; the formal program will begin at 5 pm.
