Introducing the 2022-23 Scholarship Program for Indigenous Native and Alaskan Students (SPINAS)

The Prism Multicultural Center along with the MCC Foundation is proud to once again introduce the Scholarship for Indigenous Native & Alaskan Students Program for MCC students (SPINAS).

As part of our overall purpose, we are proud to provide programs and services that support and retain students from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Monroe Community College’s SPINAS program provides academic and out of the classroom support and resources to address the needs of Native American and other indigenous students at the college. We offer:

  • Academic and career advisement
  • Help with Federal and State financial aid
  • Connections to Native resources
  • Native American educational scholarship ranging from $1,0000.00 to $3,000.00 a semester
  • Educational speakers who identify and speak to the needs of Indigenous Americans
  • Meet and greet socials and so much more.

If you are a student who fits in this category and would like to find out what all the qualifications are, we will be having an informational session about the program.

When:             Tuesday, September 13, 2022
Time:              4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Where:             PRISM Multicultural Center
