Faculty Development Workshop on June 15th - The 21st Century Global Citizen


Global Education and International Services is excited to present their first-ever professional development workshop for faculty:

THE 21ST CENTURY GLOBAL CITIZEN 
DATE:  Monday, June 15th
TIME:  9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
PLACE: Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe B)
SPONSOR:  Global Education and International Services
MEALS:  a light breakfast and a hot lunch will be provided

Join your colleagues from MCC, Cornell and Hobart & William Smith:
-  Hear about global education in practice
-  Learn how our global context impacts our educational context
-  Gain understanding about our global Rochester setting
-  Glean tips from a faculty panel on ways to globalize your curriculum
-  Take away a list of international opportunities & grants for professional development
-  Hear from guest speakers on specific ways to infuse global content into your courses

This will be an informative and inspiring workshop designed to help faculty understand the numerous ways they can help our students become global citizens in the 21st century.

Participants will receive a folder of useful resources and a copy of one of Nicholas Kristof’s latest books.  Light breakfast and a hot lunch will be served.
