Hospitality Department Hosted an Italian Chef Demonstration and Wine Pairing event

On Thursday October 25th, the Hospitality department welcomed Chef Simone De Castro and Mattia Delle Piane, from Florence University of the Arts, MCC's partner in the Italy study-abroad program, as well as Maurizio Clemente from Vias Imports, for a demonstration event. Simone, an award-winning Pastry Chef, shared his knowledge with students, industry partners and supporters in a traditional Tuscan dessert demonstration, while Maurizio Clemente paired the Tuscan dessert and cheeses with Italian wines. Mattia Delle Piane spoke to MCC students about current Italian study abroad opportunities.

Our Hospitality students were able to work alongside Chef Simone during preparation and throughout the evening. This was a great experience and opportunity for all involved!
