Hispanic Heritage Month: Immigration in America: How Do We Fix a System in Crisis?

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Democracy Commitment at MCC with the Latino Empowerment Network (LEN)  and the Dean of Career Technical Education present the inaugural National Issues Forum (NIF) to deliberate Immigration in America.  All are welcomed to the table as the National Issues Forums bring people together to talk about important national issues. The forums help people of diverse views find common ground for action on issues that concern them deeply.

NIFs are structured deliberative discussions, led by moderators. Using nonpartisan issue books, participants weigh possible ways to address a problem. They analyze each approach and the arguments for and against.  Please join us in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe B) at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 13, 2014, to deliberate Immigration in America.  To reserve your seat at the table, RSVP by Friday, October 10, 2014 to <
mailto:vrobinson@monroecc.edu>.  This forum is free and open to the MCC community. Refreshments will be served.
