Telecommuting Update - Pilot Extended Through Fall 2022 Semester

With support from President Burt-Nanna and her Executive Leadership Team, the College, the FA, and the CSEA have agreed to extend the Telecommuting Pilot through the fall 2022 semester.

Those who wish to telecommute between September 1 - December 23, or wish to continue to telecommute during that timeframe, please submit requests via the MCC Telecommuting Program Pilot Application.

To access the form, log into myMCC.  Click on "Employees" and then on "Employee Essentials."  Locate the "Human Resources" section on the right side of the "Employee Essentials" webpage.  Click on "Telecommuting Pilot Program" and you will be brought to a new webpage with a link to the application at the bottom.

As supervisors and employees consider telecommuting requests, please remember that all requests must be evaluated through the lens of whether approval will result in disruption to departmental operations or negatively impact student access to information and resources necessary for their success.  In addition, one's individual job duties and specific departmental functions must be considered.

Additional updates:

  • A draft policy to formalize telecommuting as a potential flexible work option is in process.  We anticipate the draft policy to be posted in September 2022 in MCC's policy portal for review and comment by the College community.
  • An info session hosted by HR, the FA, and the CSEA, for Supervisors/Department Heads will be scheduled in the coming weeks.  The purpose is to review the terms of the pilot and respond to questions, to help ensure consistent application across the College.  Stay tuned for details!
