10th Annual High School Engineering Competition Today

Stop by the Warshof Conference Center and Forum today, April 19, between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm to cheer on local high school and vocational school students as they compete in MCC's 10th annual High School Engineering Competition!

Events include auto safety (egg smash), bridge building, and SumoBot. This year’s competition will also include a new mini-chopper event. The student-built mini-choppers—like the ones featured on the television show “Orange County Chopper”—will be judged for quality and creativity.

The competition is sponsored by MCC’s Engineering Science and Physics Department, Tooling and Machining program and the Engineering Leadership Council student organization. A championship trophy will be awarded to the school team that earns the most points in the four events. Gates Chili High School is the defending champion.
