Visiting Scholar to Discuss Potential Reforms to Increase Success in the American Presidency

Join the Democracy Commitment at MCC and the Department of Anthropology, History, Political Science, and Sociology for the discussion 10 Reforms to Increase Success in the Presidency with Scott LaDeur, Ph.D. Dr. LaDeur's discussion examines the most pressing institutional questions facing America’s central political leader. What changes can we make to ensure that future presidents are set up for success? Topics discussed include presidential elections, the structure of the office, qualifications for the office, the “post-presidency” and the presidency’s relationships with the American people.

Dr. LaDeur is a Professor of Political Science at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey, Michigan. His recent work includes a chapter in the new book Congress and U.S. Foreign Policy: Activism, Assertiveness and Acquiescence in a Polarized Era
