Creative Arts Presents: Lecture with Illustrator Donald Colley

The Creative Arts is pround to sponsor a zoom lecture with Illustrator Donald Colley on Tuesday March 16th starting at 1:00 PM. Zoom information is below and on the attached flyer.

Donald Owen Colley states: “Born in Phoeniz Az, in 1954. An Air Force brat until 16. Spent the first 16 years as a wandering gypsy. Decided in my third year of college to give the art thing a try as parasitology wasn’t working out so good. Exhibiting paintings, prints, and sketchbooks in earnest since 1983. Backed into the occasional illustration gig and am now, after a couple decades of pondering societal woes and coulrophobic parallels, working primarily on visual journaling, urban sketching while returning to a no- madic lifestyle as pencil salesman.”

In 2012, as one of Faber-Castell’s celebrated instructors, Colley led an illustrated road-trip across America, which covered 11 cities where he held drawing and illustration demos using Faber-Castell products. Donald Colley holds a BFA from University of Texas, and currently lives in Chicago.
