Local Coverage of MCC's Efforts in Scaling Up Distance Learning

The local news media have been reporting on how MCC and other area colleges/universities are transitioning to distance-learning options for a majority of students in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Monroe County.

The Democrat and Chronicle interviewed Sherry Tshibangu, professor of business, and Dr. Terry Keys, associate vice president of instructional services, for two separate articles published within the past week:

  • "Colleges adapt to coronavirus: 'Online learning can be done well' ":

Both articles speak to MCC's preparedness and experience in handling a crisis and our faculty and staff members' dedication to students and their success.

WXXI AM News also interviewed Public Safety Chief Tony Perez for its March 11 radio broadcast.

Thank you to Tony, Terry and Sherry for carving time out of their busy schedules to do the interviews!
