MCC Welcomes Vice President Biden

On Wednesday, January 29, Vice President Joseph Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden will visit MCC to discuss the importance of community colleges and workforce development.

“We're excited that MCC's leadership in building industry partnerships and using labor market information to drive workforce education is getting such recognition," said MCC President Anne Kress in a statement to local media. "We can't wait for the Vice President and Dr. Biden to meet our inspiring students and learn more about how their lives are transformed--and our community strengthened--by our outstanding faculty and staff and by the connection between MCC's programs and regional economic development."

An English professor at Northern Virginia Community College, Dr. Biden is a vocal advocate for the transformative power of community colleges.

The White House is finalizing details of the event. We will provide more information on this historic visit as it becomes available. Please check the MCC Daily Tribune and MCC's Facebook page for updates.
