Excelsior Scholarship Update

We wanted to give you an brief update on the Excelsior Scholarship and the impact on MCC students as follows:

  • For the fall 2017 semester, we had approximately 1,500 students apply.
  • Of those that applied, we have over 300 who will receive the scholarship for fall.
  • Students who did not apply for fall 2017 can apply for spring 2018 starting the last week in October. This includes new and continuing students.

Advising Excelsior recipients is a key component for students to continue to receive the award. We have worked closely with the Advisement Center and are providing the attachment to assist you when advising students.
