Work of Installation Artist Mei-Ling Hom To Be Exhibited at Mercer Gallery


The Mercer Gallery at Monroe Community College’s Brighton Campus will feature Cultural Clouds, the installation art of Mei-Ling Hom, Friday, Jan. 28 – Friday, Feb. 25.

Hom’s recent works contemplate the influence of Asian cultures in America. She received a Master of Fine Arts from the New York State College of Ceramics School of Art & Design at Alfred University and has exhibited her work throughout the United States and in Germany, Thailand, Korea, Italy and France. In addition, Hom has garnered numerous prestigious awards such as the Pew Fellowship in Visual Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts Visual Artist Fellowship.

MCC's Mercer Gallery is open Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
