Be A Leader. Make Contacts. Meet Students. Earn Cash.

Attention all MCC students! The office of Service-Learning needs outgoing individuals to act as Service-Learning Assistants (SLA's). Service-Learning is an educational experience, which combines traditional academics with service to the community.

There are a variety of ongoing, exciting, productive projects that Service-Learning students get involved in. Our SLA's act as liaisons between the office and the participating students so, as Service-Learning grows at MCC, the need for Service-Learning Assistants increases.

Do you think you have what it takes? Our SLA's must be outgoing, have strong leadership skills, willing to make contacts, and commit to a semester of service. During the semester you will be responsible for coordinating a service project, and making sure that students have the details of their assignments. Furthermore you will meet fellow students, faculty members, community partners, and Service-Learning office staff.  Wow!

After completing your service you will earn a stipend ($$$), experience to add to your resume, and letters of recommendation... all this for only about 2 hrs of work each week! Are you ready to be a Service-Learning Assistant? Call Barbara Stephens in the Service-Learning office at 262-1711, or email me at <<
mailto:bstephens@monroecc.edu>> for more information. Or you can download the position description/application at <<https://www.monroecc.edu/depts/servicelearning/assistant.htm>>
