MCC Students Accepted into Bridges Summer Research Program


Five MCC Students in Biology and Chemistry have been accepted into the Bridges to the Baccalaureate, 2010 summer research program at SUNY Binghamton.  The students will spend five weeks at Binghamton University conducting original scientific research with a faculty mentor.  Breanna Bridges, Mohamed G. Mohamed, Mary D. Ramirez, Shartrice M. Roberts and Tinos L. Worksew were accepted into the program and four of the students were accompanied by James Murphy (Biology Chair) and Paul Wakem (Biology) on a two-day orientation at the Binghamton campus on Apr. 9 & 10. The Bridges Binghamton program recruits five MCC students each year to participate in a scientific summer research program at SUNY Binghamton.  Information about the program is available from the MCC Bridges coordinators, James Murphy, Brian Edelbach, Paul Wakem, Joann Santos and Ron Schumacher.
