Greetings of Gratitude

Natasha Christensen, AHPS, because, "Professor Christensen is the co-administrator for a mutual aid group on social media. In 6 weeks, the group has amassed over 6,000 members and provides solidarity with Rochester community members in the form of securing basic human needs. The group members have secured diapers, clothing, formula, food, hygiene items, cleaning products, money for bills, and essential communication for Rochesterians during this uncertain time. Hundreds of people have had their needs met through her extraordinary efforts. She is sociology in action!"

Robert Kennedy, Department Chairperson, Law and Criminal Justice, because, "Professor Kennedy helped people both in his department and others transfer face to face courses to a distant learning format in an incredibly short period of time. He has extensive knowledge of Blackboard and other programs and is always willing to share his expertise. He was generous with his time to help others make this unexpected and swift change in teaching strategies. This department has many different programs running which demonstrates flexibility and creativity. Bob has a student success focus that is evident in everything he does for the department and students. Thanks for all that you do, Bob."

Katie Leite, ESOL Program Coordinator, because, "Katie is the fearless leader of the ESOL Program who has the gifts of being an outstanding teacher AND an exceptional manager and leader. She has kept us all updated, but not inundated, with information we need to know during this COVID-19 transition, and her respect and compassion for her students and colleagues is evident in everything she does. We work with an incredible group of dedicated professionals and she sets the bar high. Thank you, Katie!"
